Angela and Campbell Docherty founded the unique Scottish label, Royal & Plaid in 2014. From the rural village of Killearn, just north of Glasgow and a stone’s throw from the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, the couple share a passion for Scotland and its heritage, with tartan at its core. With over 125 years in the tailoring business in Scotland, generations of The Docherty family have gained invaluable experience providing garments of excellent craftsmanship, quality and service across the spectrum of golf and highland wear, through the already well established family owned business.

Royal & Plaid is the latest conception to this family’s long tailoring heritage and what better way to make a statement on the golf course or to electrify a special event than to wear Royal & Plaid, a collection of luxury Scottish tartan trousers and trews.
